Great Falls Basketball Youth Leadership Scholarship
Apply Here
Great Falls Basketball is committed to supporting the growth and development of our youth. In 2015, we established the Matthew Poyner (MVP) Youth Leadership Scholarship to support college-bound high school seniors in our program as they pursue higher education. The scholarship helps offset first-year college expenses, and this year up to four $1,000 scholarships will be awarded.
The scholarship honors Matthew Poyner, a beloved member of the Great Falls community and Langley High School student who passed away unexpectedly in 2015. Matt was known for his intelligence, kindness, optimism, and dedication to others. He gave back to Great Falls Basketball as a player, referee, and coach, and exemplified leadership, service, and compassion—values this scholarship seeks to recognize.
Up to four scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors currently involved in the GF Hoops program as a player, coach, referee, statistician, or clinic participant. Recipients will be selected based on leadership, commitment, and involvement in the GF Hoops community.
Applicants must complete the Google Form by Monday, February 2, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST. Scholarship recipients will be announced during Championship/All-Star Weekend in March (date TBD). Questions may be directed to [email protected]
